We got email from The Biedlers, and we would like to share it for Calvary Chapel family :

Hi CCFW.

We want to let you know how much we appreciate all your prayers and support. we have started working with a little church that was started by New Hope under a mango tree. Jenessa has been working with the children’s church their every other Sunday. The first Sunday she started out with 15 kids and had 30 by the end of the service news travels very fast when a muzungu (white person) is in town. to day she started out with at least 70 God is so great and it just amazes me to see how he works things out every day. The church has been so great to us and has embraced us. Jenessa was commenting on their mud floor as she ran her fingers over it and the worker there mentioned that they made the mud out of cow dung and mud. I could only smile at her with a big grin.

Last week i went to the new camp site that new hope is building for a christian camp. we started the road into the camp and put in 1 slab of three for the big tents to house the people staying at the camp.

This is such a great mission field and would like to invite your church to come. To pray and see if the lord would be willing to send a team from your church here to minister to and to be ministered too.

Well thanks everyone and God bless,

Hello blogger,

Thank you for stick with us, now we also add a new category which “Ministry News”. And for this time, I will share the Newsletter from The Biedlers - New Hope for Uganda. Please pray for the ministry too, and this is the prayer request:

The Worcester family Malaria issues 4 have malaria currently

Salvation for the unsaved children touched by New Hope everyday

Continued health for us and strength in our very busy schedules

For the prisoners that are ministered to by New Hope every other week

Well everyone this is the first official newsletter from the field. So let me start by saying that The Lord has been so great as we entered Uganda, we found only one bag that was missing out of 14 and we got that one a week later. We were blessed by the staff of New Hope that really did a great job of helping us get into our house.

It’s been so rewarding and exciting seeing the kids from Worcester family and having devotions with them every night. On Saturdays we have them over for a veggietale movie and on Sunday nights I started going thru the book of Philemon 2 or 3 verses at a time. God is really challenging us in our relationships with Him and in our daily walks. We want to thank everyone for praying for us and for helping us get here so we could have this great time in the Lord and to watch Him work on a daily basis.

We had a great time at the Jinja Retreat. Besides all the great wild life, beautiful grounds and the swimming pool. We had some great teaching on David and how the Lord groomed him through his life for the mission he had ahead of him. Although not perfect, he had a heart after the Lord. Also we had the opportunity to sit and talk to a veteran missionary couple and their insight in the mission field regarding our family life and relationships in the field and about taking on too much to fast. The Lord also used this time to get us refreshed and rested from all the stress of coming to the field and getting settled in our new life.

Again we want to thank everyone for the prayers and support. We pray that the internet fixed soon so that we can keep everyone in touch and informed more often. We thank God for the friends we have here but truly miss our friends and family and pray for you all often.

Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. I thank my God , making mention of you always in my prayers. Philemon 1: 3,4

Hello, my name is Elaine, and I came from Indonesia, I would like to share my thought after I live couple years in United States… This morning I wake up and feel so fresh. Saturday is the time for relax and my plan today is building the new website. I woke up, and I sat in front of computer. I felt uneasy, felt hard to do website. It’s weird! Then I prayed that God covers me from evil who trying to make me lazy this morning.

Finally I decided to sit down and grab “Voice of Martyrs” magazine. I opened the magazine page by page, and turn to the first page, and read the stories from other countries, including my own country: Indonesia. I kept reading until I read the testimony from Colombia. The pastor has been threatened and shot couple times. Miraculously, the bullets didn’t spill from that gun. The pastor already surrender to God at that time.. My eyes almost in tears..

Suddenly, I’m thinking.. How hard they struggling and facing the fear of being kill because the truth. Some people think it’s just a story, but since I was live in Indonesia for whole my life and I moved into United States I know what they feel to live around the people who don’t like us as Christians. I know what’s different between here and other countries for freedom of worshiping God. Churches outside United States especially where the Christian are persecuted is furious. Lot of churches not use cross inside / outside the building for camouflage, they look like house or small building without banner, moreover they have underground church that they fellowship in the basement.. Churches exploded, caught in fire, shooting guns, people crying and screaming, threats, persecution, kidnap, and other things that I can’t tell.

One thing I could learn from living in United States, it’s more free and safe to go to churches, to have fellowship, to spread Words around the neighbor, and have church in the public place. When I meet people who kind of lazy to go to church just because they feel they don’t need it or they feel they don’t care as long they believe in Jesus, those things make me sad. Do they know how many people suffering and yearning to worship God as free like us? How many souls crying out to declare their faith? thousands! or maybe millions of people right now. They are real people, they are not just a story, they are our family in Christ.

Have you thankful to God that you have opportunity to worship Him as many as we want? Have you thankful to God that you don’t need to read your bible in your basement with a small candle for the light and put the bible under your blanket / the locker so people can’t find it? Have you thankful to God that you have a freedom to go everywhere you want without being afraid to get shot or stab from your back? Let we thankful everyday that God put us live in the country that allow us to have fellowship together with other Christian, everywhere whenever we want.

In Christ Alone..

Elaine
